While bad faith articles still happen here (especially recently in the UK, looking at you Telegraph), it feels like the coverage tends to be positive (see Arte's reporting), mainly local news of the city where the con is held.
When NFC was happening, the articles in Swedish media were along the lines of "NFC brings color and fluff to Malmö" etc., without trying to present it as a freakshow
Laws targetting furries *specifically* aren't really a thing lawmakers in Europe are thinking about as far as I'm aware
