TIL there's a proto-Celtic word *glastos meaning "green" or "blue" and if it's not etymologically linked to Greek γλαυκός (glaukos, "blue-green, gray-green") that will be simply too much to bear.

But the origin of γλαυκός is an unsolved, so it could be related? But it might have to be a borrowing from paleo-balkan or something, to derive from *ǵʰelh₃-
