As opposed to what? It rebooting every time you use an app? People can put up with a device being slower to prevent inadvertent shutdowns because they didn't want to spend the money on a new battery, but you can't use the device at all if it's rebooting constantly. 🤷‍♂️ - ThreadSky

Totally, but not every phone would have that issue. It probably depends on a lot. Being slow specifically because of code is always true. And it's rare that a company has pure motives. Either of way it's not the same as people believing the earth is flat.

I think you've missed my point. The devices only got throttled when the battery was exhausted. That situation, as I said, is actually the opposite of planned obsolescence.

Believing Apple intentionally slows or breaks devices to sell more devices is flawed logic, like thinking the earth is flat.

I see you're point, but I still think it's apples and oranges. Though it's a silly debate, because companies lie and regardless apple does things that point to it not helping you keep you're phone longer.
