Has anyone looked into what Canadian goods our country depends on? Crude oil, gas, electricity (New England and New York), lumber, wood products, parts for cars, machinery, etc. Which means even higher prices for homes, car repair, heating....
Aluminum is a big item you purchase from us for auto and military uses. Electricity and water are up there also with o&g.
Also, our rare earth minerals.

You have tariffs backwards. Everything that they are putting tariffs on, we with make in Canada already (the Free Trade agreement hurt our dairy farmers), have the ability to ramp up and make fairly quickly, or can buy from elsewhere (Florida isn’t the only place in the world that grows oranges)

Canada is more strategic with their tariffs usually. Last time they targeted products from Republican states (bourbon from Kentucky, etc). But yes, it will cost more for goods targeted from the U.S.
