In a time like this, it sure wiuld be nice for Wizards of the Coast to host a Magiccon in Europe, or just anywhere that isnt North America.
Alas, zero news.
Fuck us I guess?

Selfishly I’d obviously want them all in Europe but I don’t think that’s viable.
I know flying exists but i would drive for 5 days across country if it meant we got one.
You gonna be at Axion next month?
I mean, even less so than before.
Cons have a non-gameplay reason to go like panels, celebrities, exhibitions, and that kind of thing and F2F generally does none of that.
The real problem exists in convincing people to pay to attend the event, so they can afford those extras.
I would take anywhere in Europe too
What more could they want?
I guess it might be that they need venues that are dirt cheap to increase margins?
Where is the announcement for Europe next year?
That’s not a counterpoint, just info. Obviously I want Europe and the world to have MagicCons.
Of course i could be wrong and misremebering or misunderstanding it. What was the disaster?
People passed out due to heat. Some came 1 day and didn’t come back. Could be a quality concern more than profit.
They had to abandon the Japan con entirely late in planning.
I suspect they took the path of least resistance this year to regroup.
One bad experience and one full rug pull out of 5 attempts in a year at their premier public offering. I’d want to get a few easy wins while re-strategizing too.
Can't do much about "It's so hot you'll pass out" though, that is a real concern.
There were criticisms of things going on, but I don't remember "Barcelona was a disaster"?
I guess you could call that an announcement.
Fingers crossed for a Winter one. Or maybe next year?
I dunno dude, still kinda blows.
There is clearly an issue with whatever their planned event was - hence the noticeable absence.
5 months, no updates. It sucks.
Or Asia...
Or Australia/ New Zeland...
Obviously, a Canadian one would be nice for us folks who don't want to go to the US because they're threatening annexation of Canada thanks...
The annexation threats are also playing into it a lot. And that the border agents can just detain you if they think you said something negative.
Lotta reasons lead back to fear.

Ideally in the UK, but im also aware the cost of that is potentially prohibitive
