Oooo!! I am definitely going to check out this book. Thanks for this recommendation! It is so maddening what’s happening because it never had to come to this, except for the hubris of the centrists who were too busy fighting “the left.”

I’d suspect that proximity is part of it. That’s the dynamic in SE Michigan after the White Flight out of Detroit. I grew up in the town equidistant from all the production hubs, Detroit, Flint, and Jackson, especially. It is not the Bigotville it used to be, but their urbanphobia was loaded af

I’m revealing myself more and more these days as an optimist-despite, but realistically… there are SO many people about to be ruined that the only way for survival will be an alternative economy. Nothing top-down, just an organic coming-together outside The Markets. Who even knows anymore though. 🤞
