Since taking absence from my university role, students thrive even better: consistent conference productivity (NeurIPS ICLR etc basically on autopilot); two new PhD fellowships (NVIDIA, IBM); multiple paper awards; and most recently, several successful job placements including a new professor (HKU)

Clearly, this comparison experiment shows their productivity and success has little (if anything) to do with me! At this rate, it's perhaps best for them I might as well get out of their way and consider retirement! š
