Also, what happens if they move, e.g., to France?
Say they trade in the phone they have & buy outside the UK? Is it automatically applied?
The article is so clearly written by Mr. Betteridge, that it's easy to understand. Even a non-tech savvy person like myself can learn from it.
It's encryption of iCloud storage they are removing, which very few people utilise afaik.
Also, something that may have been missed by most is that ADP was only introduced in 2022 and vast majority have never turned it on.
Btw I am not in favour of the U.K. government actions, just trying to scale the magnitude of the issue.
Is it "don't use the thing, because it is not fit for purpose"? Because most wouldn't call that a solution, and I have no idea what else you're alluding to.
