I would encourage you to make a full backup of all your stuff, and take stock of what programs you run.
There are plenty of Linux distro that are great for newcomers.
And if you ask, especially here, you'll find people ready to help.

I personally recommend @garudalinux.org as it's optimized for gaming and what I personally use for my rig. Also heard good things about Bazzite
While Garuda's garrish "gamer" theme may be off putting to some, you can absolutely change the theme to something that suits you.
And having recently tried Bazzite for my HTPC, it's very easy to set up and get what you need.
