actually got a staffer at Gillibrand's DC office! i went off. at length. defend our constitution, stop working collegially, obstruct *everything*, protest publicly with press...

okay, for schumer’s DC voicemail, i mentioned the gov. depts. facing illegal shutdowns by Trump & his henchman Musk, who should be arrested as a threat to national security, and also the 50 unnamed detainees in Guantanamo.

i asked him to refuse all Dem cooperation until Trump withdraws illegal EOs.

Yeah, I like what it's doing for me right now (as long as I can pull myself away when it's making me spiral down). It's got a positive, encouraging effect to see other people I know doing things, even though everyone has medical problems and is tired.

I’m due for this week’s calls to my Congressional rep and the Senators. Last week, I reminded the Senators to grow a backbone, and to work on getting rid of Musk and DOGE. This week, I have to remind them that strongly worded letters don’t work, among other things.
