I discovered furry art looking at a Swat Kats fan art gallery, found someone who had an alternate gallery on VCL and... the rest is history. I miss when fandom was custom built websites for fun :c

I don't miss the slow loading JPGs (and even slower loading PNGs), but I DO miss how people (including myself) actually spent the time waiting for the images to load to go down into the description and comments section to already learn stuff about the characters and pieces displayed.

Omg yeah... I miss youtube loading the ENTIRE video when the palyer was open, so you could even disconnect your internet and still watch the video in whole!! Which was a blessing if you had to pay per minute being online (as we did)

I was so salty when youtube changed how videos were pre-loaded once it was only segments vs the entire video anymore. I know they did it for bandwidth reasons but still, man. It was so much better previously!!

This reminds me of a website I found a while back dedicated to "Cats Don’t Dance." There was a bunch of fan art, a comic that expanded the universe, a fanfiction section, production art and heaps of other stuff.

There was a ton of passion and creativity that's difficult to cram onto social media.
