it's kind of a nostalgic, comfort smell for me. my grandparents used to keep apples in the breezeway by their kitchen and it always smelled like apples and firewood. it's one of my favorite memories ;w;
we don't have any good hiking trails around here so I used to just walk the traintracks and [redacted] areas. one time I saw a family of foxes and they followed me to the edge of the woods to make sure I got home safe and I cried lol
