oh goodness what are these reviews? i do think that bulky and super bulky yarns in general are deceptively difficult to work with

A lot of comments saying WAK is a whack brand that rips off #woolandthegang and has patterns that are wrong or impossible to follow - ya know, the worst reviews you could give a yarn company 😂

ah - well I haven't used WAK kits but I also find that 100% wool bulky weight sweaters are too hot to wear inside, so I would opt for an acrylic or cotton blend

Def. I would probably just wear it as a heavy outer layer on chili days.

Side note: what’s your favorite cotton to work with? I’m super picky with cottons due to their “slippery-ness”

i totally forget the brand that i like from my LYS but linen-cotton blends always have a little more stickiness! it's not available in bulky but the RItual Dyes Undine also comes to mind for really lovely summer tops https://ritualdyes.com/collections/ritual-dyes-yarn/products/undine-dk-cotton-linen-dk-weight

Ahuh. Always worth looking at those notes and comments. Not everybody says stuff out loud if the pattern is hard to follow or whatever, but it’s worth scrolling through just to check if anyone does. I figure if more than a few mention something negative about it, it’s worth paying attention to that.
