Live in the riding. Get your street cred at the community centre and by volunteering for community-benefitting organizations. Shop at the local stores. Know the local concerns and strengths.

Completely agree. He was on the ground. I still recall one interview where a random guy in convo asked back to Solomon 'Would you fight Russia?' At the time it seemed random, but the convoy back room messaging was right on ctv. No one cared.
