You learn to write by writing (and reading). That's it.
Getting good at deciding what to write, writing it, and editing it takes years of practice. Any teacher encouraging students to skip any part of the practice that's required to write well is shortchanging their students. They're incompetent.

It's honestly just darkly funny that teachers praising AI don't understand that the end goal is to replace them. Not all of them, but as many as possible. Why hire 10 teachers when you can hire 3 and have AI pick up the slack? And those 3 teachers lucky enough to stay will be absolutely miserable.

The downfall of education has been not forcing children to memorize or practice anything. AI is not the answer. The answer is to force these kids out of their comfort zone. “studying” is a lost art. Kids just google the answers to everything. Physical books require brain power. Computers don’t!

Mind blowing. If she didn’t want to read another essay about the effects of fast food on the body, simply adding “choose a topic other than the effects of fast food on the body” to the assignment.
