I've been pretty down on AI, but only because I didn't realize AI could save workers nearly 4 minutes an hour in admin time. That's definitely worth the horrifying environment costs, constant scams, and unending plagiarism. - ThreadSky

Of course, this is a number from a company trying to sell AI, so the real time savings are probably more like 2 minutes a hour—which is still totally worth all those extra carbon emissions. Who needs permafrost when you're saving enough time every hour to listen to about ⅔ of a pop song?
