EREGION
Although nothing can be seen the fellowship is nervous . They feel they are being watched. They head toward the distant mountain of Tâl Caradhras (Sindarin for Foot of the Redhorn).
Eregion
Road begins climbing as it winds into the hills.
They keep the mountains on their left.
With Hollin Ridge behind them they still seem a long way away from the Red Horn Pass
They make camp whilst Gandalf and Aragorn discuss whether to take the Red Horn or go to Moria.
Aragorn tells Gandalf that he has been in Moria before and does not want to go back
He describes Moria as "very evil" and warns Gandalf to be careful if he goes through the doors of Moria.
EREGION
They go up the mountain path. Snow begins to fall, large snow flakes at first.
The snow becomes heavier as they climb higher.
Some of the hobbits crouch behind Bill the Pony for cover.
The wind is howling. Do they hear voices? Saurmans?
EREGION
Suddenly an avalanche blocks their path ahead. The path behind them back down the mountain is covered in snow to the height of men. Aragorn and Boromir use their bodies and bare hands dig a path before coming back to collect the hobbits.
EREGION
They descend back down to tree level. They hear wolves calling to each other. They make camp and rest till dawn. No one sleeps easy knowing they cannot go OVER the mountain, they must instead go through and UNDER it.
they build a fire and wait for dawn.
