They should have started pushing and punching back as early as then. Literally, going on the attack. They knew what Trump's playbook was going to be once sworn in. How they ended up getting caught flatfooted tells you that the current minority leadership needs replacement as soon as practicable.

They don’t get it. I suggested this at my Democratic Rep’s town hall and the comment was met with applause and standing O but she seemed like it was not even an option. She spent 15 minutes touting her accomplishments and childhood upbringing and was dismissive at times.

There's no reason not to be flooding every communications channel possible with different comunications efforts, constantly. People complain that the Republican lawmakers are terrified for their physical safety but frankly I think many Democratic leaders are equally scared.
