This is a good thing to protect the American taxpayer from waste, fraud, corruption. Not spending money we don't have, even if it's temporarily to identify the ignorance of government can't possibly be a bad thing.

I work for a crisis intervention service. We're a non-profit that prevents, literally, thousands of suicides per month. We're impacted by this decision and we may end up going under. Please explain to me why this isn't a bad thing.
It's temporary to make sure we're not wasting money on things this administration finds. Objectionable such as dei. I don't know if you heard, but this action found that we were getting ready to send $50 million to Gaza for condoms? Something Hamas uses to float bombs into Israel.
Additionally, Trump spent 8 trillion dollars in his first term vs Biden's spending of 4 trillion dollars. Where was all this concern over government spending when Trump was in office the first time? All of this is easily researched. There was no $50M going to Palestinians to "float bombs".
Are you speaking of covid. If you use covid to determine job growth or spending, it tells me you can't make an intelligent argument. We all know that it was an unprecedented event and mistakes were made. We should have let everybody go to work and never gave out government money.
If you think that COVID cost this country $8T you're the one that is incapable of making an intelligent argument. Your inability to understand that freezing funds that Congress has already approved stands to increase suicides, including veteran suicides, shows that you're also incapable of empathy.
I think evaluating things for a few days isn't a tragedy In the light of decades of wasteful spending with the amount of debt we have now, we need to do all we can to limit government spending and eliminate waste. As far as covid spending, seek help for your TDS
The Gaza that got those condoms is in Africa. People who are suicidal aren't going to wait if agencies like mine are closed. The fact that you, a person who has survived the suicide of a family member, can just gloss over the damage this illegal act is extremely disappointing.
I'm sorry but as a taxpayer the government needs to be looking at all our expenditures to see that we're not wasting money whether it be at home or abroad. Everybody's struggling financial except the wealthy in this country right now. They should value our hard work and not waste money.
Now that's a bit of feckless logic if ever I heard any.
You voted for a convicted felon and fraudster to balance the books?
Question: How do you fund a tax cut for the rich?
Answer: Cut the programs that the poor rely on to live.
