For Step 2, The mentee survey collects in-depth info about the type of mentorship being seeked. We want to prioritize the need of the mentees. At the end of the survey, the mentees will be able to indicate their preferred mentors.

A similar program has been successfully running in the #worm community and a lot of our program structure/surveys and ideas were adapted from those. We are very grateful to the worm program chairs and #wormbase members for supporting us in our endeavors.

I am a PhD candidate in the Tennessen lab at IUB. I am interested in brain metabolism in flies. I serve as the grad student rep at the Flyboard and the FlyCROSS mentor-mentee match program is my baby. I love💃🏽salsa and🎙️classic Hindi songs.
