It’s an anti-democratic move. Uneducated people are really easy to manipulate. We need a government that is going to focus on lifting our literacy/numeracy education & the country will quickly benefit.
I’m sure his answer to that is if we don’t like it we can always go private. Then private schools can have real rankings of private schools with the disadvantaged in the lowest rank, just like public school now, but you’ll pay for it instead. Wonder if all the schools would get the same funding?

The LNP started their attack on public education in Howard’s day. They targeted higher education and TAFE, and accelerated in the 2010s by bastardising Gonski and here’s the end play. We can’t risk LNP dragging us down to the US standard of education.
