It’s like shooting the target in the dark, we’ll never know where or when it’s hit. Even when it’s hit, we shoot again at that direction and it’s still missed 😂
Agreed, but make sure your cofounder isn't just a marketing person. That early you can't justify someone who can't also contribute to the product. My biggest bit of luck was partnering with someone who cares so deeply about product that his storytelling around it has become sales/marketing.
I can't count the number of times he's walked into the room with no intent on selling anything to anyone and walked out with something we needed—money, support, expertise. But all of this is built on him being a product person first.
Definitely not suggesting it could be (or should be) done solo. But at the beginning everyone should be able to bring more than one thing to the table.
