This is an interesting argument as many countries welcome women into the ranks.. one of the leading countries is Israel who often have fully armed women on patrol near the wailing wall and now in combat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBijMDH7Wms
when i first started dating my wife I weighed 320 lbs and she weighed 115, but she could firemanβs carry me. i only let her do it once because I was terrified sheβd hurt herself, but bottom line, a woman with proper training using proper form can carry any size of man.
Former combat medic here. I fucking hate this argument so fucking much! Picking up and carrying a 200+ lbs soldier wearing 100+ lbs of gear while you are also wearing 100+ lbs of gear isn't something most men can do either. That's why we use 2-4 people to carry wounded.
The whole point of basic fitness training is to make sure every recruit can do this. It's almost as if people assume women's muscle mass has no capacity to increase
When I was a teenager it was the running joke on my house that I could indeed pick up my at the time 300lbs sergeant first class father and carry him. Because I had to when he couldnβt walk
My friends would ask me to carry them around cuz of that incident
Jennifer is awesome, I'm glad that she is in the service, but that marine she's carrying is not "geared up". Body armor and a combat load add 50-75 lbs. Alot of men have a hard time carrying that weight too.
Either you meet the standards, or you donβt, gender has nothing to do with it. Some of the most squared away, professional Marines I knew when I was in were women, and many did better on the fitness tests than I.
This is such a tired argument. One of my best friends is a female veteran, and you better believe that she trained for that very scenario multiple times. People like this need to be quiet unless they're willing to actually talk to members of the military.
Heard plenty of the same crap from ex-military men to us women for forest firefighting. Our captain was a woman, so she walked over, picked one man up, threw him over her shoulder, and carried him off to the car park. The energy from the rest of the men was a lot different when she returned. π€£
