I filed ADA accommodations after I went through a double cancer diagnosis. Years of chemo and a hysterectomy had me all kinds of messed up. My anxiety was awful. I had letters from my psychiatrist and oncologists, my boss literally got into a pissing match with me about whose anxiety was worse!
He didn’t want to honor my accommodations because he didn’t consider extreme anxiety and depression coupled with chemo brain and hormone blockers brought on by simultaneous breast cancer and leukemia treatment for four years was any kind of a disability. “He has stress too.”
What concerns me the most is that it's always someone in a position of authority. Businesses nationwide of all kinds are run by people who don't know basic anatomy.
But hey, only women have guts now I guess.

Im so sorry. My husband was diagnosed 3 years ago and its been so hard just going through all possible medications that might work. Hes finally on a biologic that is working. He luckily works remotely. I cannot imagine working at an office.
This kind of shit pisses me off so bad. People have no CLUE what its like to have Crohns Disease or Ulcerative Colitis. ITS HORRIBLE! Its life changing. And ues these people need bathrooms close by, its why most dont leave their homes. I would have punched that manager in the face!!!
