I don't agree with this*, fwiw. And I don't think it's helpful for anyone outside the US to *criticise* what they may perceive the US trans community as doing, or not doing.

At the same time, a large piece of the rhetoric around trans women is "innate male violence" or similar nonsense, which as a trans women myself makes it feel impossible to demonstrate any visible anger at the situation.
Oh yeah, really feeling the love there.
I hate gatekeeping of any kind. There is no right way or wrong way to be trans. People have responsibility to protect their own safety and well-being first.
Modify your behaviour/appearance to stay safe, where necessary.
Pretty-much situation normal in many societies no matter what your 'gender' may be.
I thought it was an extraordinary thing to post.
