A few months ago I spilled juice on my 3DS (new 3DS XL, thing is an emulation BEAST and can run up through PS1 games with good frame rate) and finally got around to taking it apart and cleaning all the gunk of buttons.

Def more annoying to take apart and put together than the Vita I worked on
