I installed Satisfactory, then I ran around for 10 minutes before deciding I don't care about running around mining resources so then I can craft things. I'm pretty sure there's a whole level of game here beyond that, but... there's pretty strong resistance to me actually getting to any of it. - ThreadSky

It's like a clicker game where you build the upgrades yourself, in whichever way you want. I found it very addicting, can see why it's not for everyone though.

I was looking forward to some automation stuff. I liked Infinifactory, etc. and assumed it'd be something along those lines. I'll try again some day.

I can see why, even when you get to the automation and building (which is very good if you're into that, I've played 75h) the game requires a lot of manual labor and reorganizing. What's missing for me is a real motivation to put in all that work. Beyond the plain satisfaction of building stuff.

Had exactly the same feeling - the start does not take very long however and you barely if ever actually mine anything afterwards yourself. For some reason, it takes a bit to get to the automation/management part. If you get there, it's an entirely different game though.

Yeah that's kinda what I imagined. Games are very much a mood thing for me, and I was not in the mood for the tutorial at the start. One day I might try again, now that I own it.
