And good for you. So did I, two decades ago at an off-off-Broadway theatre in New York City. We were practically sitting on the actors, but that just made it seem more immediate and fun. Nor did it hurt

that in a space that small that it didn't take many people to make up a convincing crowd for the Shrovetide feast. In fact, that's why I wanted to reread it at this time of year but unfortunately not being religious I forgot precisely what date the holiday was until it had already passed. Oh well.
