141. Electric Assault - Shocked Into Coherence: Old skool thrash. Could have been made 40 years ago. Gets the hardcore influences of early thrash just about right. Sepulturic (that's a word!) in places.

143. The Smile - Cutouts: The 2nd Smile release of the year (see 4.). Slightly prefer this one. With Radiohead back reheasing together after many years, hopefully we'll get a new album in the not too distant future. These are effective stop gaps in the meantime.

144. Xiu Xiu - 13" Frank Beltrame Italian Stiletto with Bison Horn Grips: As far as titles goes, this is up there with the Charles Mingus song, The Shoes of the Fisherman's Wife Are Some Jive Ass Slippers. Experimental electronica. Good album.
