It's almost like women losing their jobs first in a recession and having more trouble getting back into the workforce after is part of the structure of patriarchy
Feel like if I was less educated on feminism it would be easy to mistake this combination of yearning for connection and care with market alienation as a desire for a "woman's natural place" or something instead of something patriarchy has contrived to create
Anyways I guess the conclusion here is that I think I personally would not mind being a housewife (if I wasn't being pressured into it by society) and I increasingly *personally* understand the mechanisms by which society pressures women into becoming housewives
it’s literally my ideal existence i just want to cook and clean and raise kids i just wanna do it outside of a patriarchal structure even if it’s with a man
Man, Doc, you're so strong for being able to actually survive the horror that is jobhunting. Being at home looking for employment was probably the worst time of my life. I just felt like such a fucking waste of resources. I don't know how you keep it together.
Single provider households? In the 21st century? Sorry babe but the only job that pays for a two-up two-down is being a useless CEO or a shift as a designer at the warcrimes factory. (Assembly line workers for the genociderator can only afford a 1-bed apartment now)
