The whole point of Hangman being consumed with revenge is that further he goes down that path, the further he gets from the world title. Him actually winning it would validate everything he has done as a heel since he turned.

It would make a redemption arc useless and just turn him into the same generic heel we see all the time in wrestling. Page would make a great heel world champ, he is a great pro wrestler. But it would be nothing we've never seen before.

AEW has the chance to tell a truly unique story in wrestling with this current Hangman character and the creative team and the Hangman fans need to be patient so the full story can get told to it's full potential.

Hangman beating Swerve at All In for the belt, like a lot of people wanted would have been a disaster creatively. Hangman is a drug addict and his drug of choice is vengeance. Like many addicts, he needs to hit rock bottom before he can kick it.

Hopefully everyone involved sees it through, because the redemption arc, and everyone and everything it could include(Kenny, the Bucks, Swerve) could be an all timer.

This sounds awesome, tbh, but I think you have too much faith in AEW booking that this is what is being executed.
