When I was in Ukraine, we had an app that gave an early warning that gave you time to get to an air raid shelter when a launch was detected. This warning info came at least in part from US/NATO AWACS planes monitoring Russian skies at long distance.

My Grandma lived in London throughout the Blitz
There are newer houses in rows of period houses where I live because that was where the bombs hit
