How do you fight medical billing issue?
I can't figure out what to do. I messaged the billing dept about a double billing issue, and the justification they gave me was BS.
Not sure how to proceed in a way that will get results.

I went for a yearly checkup with my PCP. I was billed for the preventive care (covered @100% by insurance), and also "office visit" as a separate charge.
Billing says that charge was for "treatment of [ISSUE] and pain in knee."
She advised an OTC med to reduce side effects. I asked if the prescription was safe to take long term & she said yes. She wrote in my chart that she'd prescribe it for longer if I called back.
How do I tell billing this in a way that they will listen?
