I just ate several months expired yogurt for breakfast. It's great, I'm still eating a fall flavour variety I won't get again for 8 months. I'd guess 80% of the yogurt I eat is expired.
Do you ferment the yogurt in a sealed container? I do instant pot batches and assume they’re contaminated and have a shorter life because they are in contact with air and cloth at pouring out and straining

Fwiw, yogurt really can't go bad unless other weird bacteria are introduced. Don't be afraid of "expired" yogurt.
