If you care about youth arts, it’s one of the most important things you’ll read this year.

An incredible 414 youth theatres responded to the survey, from pretty much every part of England.
Well, now we know ALL of these things.
Here are some highlights:
It works with more than 100,000 young people, and is run by more than 9,000 salaried staff, freelancers, volunteers and trustees. It reaches a total audience of more than 470,000 people.
A total turnover of £23m sounds a lot, but that works out at just £231 per participant per year.
31% of youth theatres survive on less than £10k and 34% are solely reliant on one source of income (normally fees).
For the first time since 2011, youth theatres across England, including The Habbit Factory, have had their voices heard in a major survey, and the findings are clear: youth theatre is a vital part of our theatre eco-system.
If you’re passionate about young people and the arts, this is the report to read this year.
Theatre ain’t just about singing and dancing... it’s life-changing!...
