I think this is true. I'd be curious to hear how recent joiners are finding it here?

I get the impression that quite a lot of people on Twitter don’t realize how well this place is working. Maybe they’ve dabbled in one of the earlier phases or not invested the time to find people to follow.

Love it over here! But there are many organisations that don't yet have a presence, so I've had to hang on to my hellsite account.

After a slow start, there are more bots and fake Keanus sending follow requests than I had over there. It's like whack-a-mole, up to 20 every day.

A lot more people here already than I expected

Servers a bit slow, load time slower, but to be expected given how big bird app was compared to this

Still enjoying the feed and talk much better here though

I joined a while ago, but made a more dedicated effort to interact here and lurk there recently.

I think not giving up on there before the election keeps liberal tweets trending, which is sadly still important. So I do a lot of likes and RTs.

Twitter is way too noisy, but here seems more quieter (so less mad stuff which can be entertaining). Obviously, the solution is to follow more accounts, but many journalists aren't on here yet. Confused how Blue sky 'Discover' thinks I like baseball.

I remember the 2 million users mark being passed (I wrote "topped" at the time so @pfrazee.com et al roasted me). Since then I deleted my account but came back a few months later. There is a much broader centre of gravity now. More communities have camped here. There's a buzz. The porn bots arrived.

I joined around the 10m user mark and it feels like there is already a lot more interaction now. Or maybe I'm just getting more used to how things work here. Anyway, I like bluesky a lot more than the other place

Addendum: the discover feed seems to have gotten better (I think there was an upgrade recently?) It actually connects me with people I want to follow!

I agree. I do think some newcomers might be a bit confused by the array of feeds available to them, having been used to the twitter algorithm. I have loads of active feeds, but generally switch between 4 or 5 I find.

Never been on Twitter,
not much social media...
My favorite hurricane blog regularly embeds Twitter and, recently it embedded BlueSky.
I understood this as the call of fate, so here I am.
Currently it feels interesting, nice and decent

It's interesting to see how it's changed in 2 months.

I joined when the #farageriots made it clear it was time to go. Even then it was like being at a party half an hour after the announced start, hovering around other small gatherings.

And many less herons. Now it is more like pre-Musk Twitter.
