Don't moves go through that cycle? The ddt used to be strong finishers and became a transitional move in the late 90's early 2000, and are strong again.
The guy that lost a table match by going through it and still smh won? That Bully Ray my thanks I’m good. HBKs super kicks are one of a kind though except Chris Adams (creator) and Lance Storm’s.
So? It's not sweet chin music. No band is being tuned up. It's not the same. Same as when wrestlers steal finishers it like rarely ever works. The wrestler makes the move awesome.
D...does he know that the superkick meant everything there that it does today? That it was the fact that ally attacked ally that made it mean something, not the fact that it was with a superkick?
This could apply to any finisher that is now a normal move
Remember when Petey hit a Canadian destroyer for the first time?
Remember when Goldberg used the Spear? (He only has 3 moves so he might as well make one of them good)
That's his finisher though, so in kayfabe it's the move he has mastered to perfection. I don't mind wrestlers using a super kick as a transitional move when they have a different finisher but that's just me.
I disagree with Bubba/Bully here. If Shawn hits this ever again, it’ll still mean something, cause it’s literally his finishing move. If Uso/Young Bucks/literally anyone else hit it, the match won’t be over or the impact won’t be as great and that’s because HBK makes the move mean something

That’s the Sweet Chin Music, not a superkick
the clothes line from hell, the evenflow DDP, the jackknife, the RKO, the macho man elbow.
