This is far from silly. US needs to win their country back, the seemingly unimportant offices are crucial, you need to take charge at every single level. Roles such as these mean you start to make a difference on the ground, win it, and work up from there!

A few years ago we started a write in campaign to run against unopposed Republicans. I have been encouraging all not to skip over elections with unopposed candidates. If you don’t like them, write in someone else. Don’t let them win with 100% of the vote.

Be aware of the write-in rules in your state. For example in CT a write-in vote is only counted if the candidate has registered with Sec of State. If not, the ballot won’t be disqualified altogether, but that write-in vote won’t count.
But I agree, don’t let’em run unopposed!

I mean often times all you can do with a write in if there’s not an actual campaign is to make sure that the candidate doesn’t get 100% of the votes and knows that they have opposition

Based on what I can find, I don't believe so- her family isn't, that's for sure. Her dad was vocally a Harris supporter and works for charities and currently has a Ukraine banner, and I have common friends with her family and they are all Dems so 🤞

I have a trans nephew in Iowa and fear for his safety. My wife and I decided to pack up and leave Iowa for Minnesota last July with our 5 year old daughter and we couldn’t be any happier. Both my wife and daughter will have a safer future here. Iowa has turned into Alabama 2.0. So sad 😞

I believe it's a local election. While the call is to all of Iowa, only those in that city can vote.

If you don't live in the city in question, then call friends who do live there and encourage them to vote.

Make sure you check the write in requirements in your state or county! In Idaho you have to declare as a write in within a certain timeframe so if you just write someone in all it accomplishes is lower the number of votes for the person you don’t want. Good luck I hope you kick butts
