Keep Clackamas County, OR, on your radar. We elected someone who had to resign (and is under investigation for fraud), but she was by far the better choice. Now, the Republicans are trying to take the (nonpartisan) seat back! Not sure when, but they're already selecting candidates.

I looked up the town election/candidates. It's about the same size as the one I live in -- one of OUR problems is dealing with speculators & 2nd-home owners monetizing short-term rentals -- & making affordable housing for nearby community workers nearly impossible.

...so you forget to vote...a common Repub ploy--cause confusion. Same reason Dumpy "fixed" the post office by removing mailboxes so you couldn't mail your ballot in, then have them slow down delivery so your ballot would be late or BETTER, never arrive at all.

Well for the country I would advise a democratic candidate. Then again I also think local people know local folk, who to trust and who not. But when it evens out, this is a good time to show your government where you stand in health, social security and this tariffs shit.
