My best friend from childhood died from CF at age 14, and his death was horrific. I'm a bleeding-heart type but... may all the people blindly slashing funding and denying science suffer what he did.

I used to be a pulmonary nurse taking care of CF patients before this drug was introduced. You’ve been through a lot, and I don’t think people have any idea what you have to do. I’m so glad it gives you quality of life and pray you can continue on it.

So sad, even for the funding that is available, nih research is frozen, they stopped review meetings that provide funding to the scientists from even taking place. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-025-00540-2
