Fascinating to thing about that this tapestry of matter is mostly nothing. That the wast bridges between the matter we observe in the universe also exist within ourselves. And this wast expanse of expanding nothingness came to be, only 13,5 billion years ago, half of which time we evolved.

I use Photoshop to retouch family photos, but I know nothing about this wonderful astral photography.

When you say “processed”, what are you referring to? Processed how?

You can download the raw data from Hubble, James Webb, and other Public telescopes and "process" the data yourself.
Processing involves "stretching the histogram" with levels and curves adjustments. The raw data is dark and "underexposed".

Yeah, I’m using Photoshop as well on the downloaded raw images. Processing involves alignment, color channels, and such. Some cleanup of energetic particle strikes to the camera sensor. I tend to do denoising if it’s a particularly noisy image, but that can sometimes make small dim stars look weird.
