I am much closer to my friend than I am to even my blood relatives, I think found family takes over pretty easy. This isn't saying we won't be grateful to our parents or be respectful to family members, but it's more of a formality I feel. 😅

I just don't see the interest or excitement in learning of people "family" that are beyond immediate relation or the ancestral heritage it's like a bore to me but my family sends me 500 texts or hours of calls with new discovered facts and I say im not interested and they continue on and on and...😭

I used to have a classmate obsessed with ancestry and stuff like that. She was all into eu nobility crap. Never really saw the point of it either. But I was very amused when she purchased one of those blood test things and she found 30%african in the results.

She stopped talking about it since. Whatever people ideolise this to be, I think reality quickly makes them realise how completely irrelevant ancestry discourse is. Actions and attitude define us, not genetics.

Ahahaha yes my sister did the DNA thing too and it said she's a Neanderthal I laughed so hard 🤣
And now apparently we have family who were witch trial victims all the way back in the 1500s and I'm like ok ya whatever 😩

All the other women in my family are so interested in the family tree and connecting trying to make me feel like the odd one cause I'm always like no leave me alone I don't care 😭
