Pitcher Phil Gallivan was born in Seattle on this day in 1907. He pitched for Brooklyn & the White Sox between 1932-34 and had a 5-11 record and 5.95 ERA. He later became an Orioles scout & signed Jim Palmer, among others. He died in 1969 & is buried in Hudson, WI.
