Not sure if true, but I once heard that if accused of witchcraft, you had a better chance of getting out alive if you were accused by the Spanish inquisition than other groups. Any truth to that?

Historically accurate, yes. Women accused of witchcraft by rural civil authorities of what we know now as Spain would (if they could) run away to cities to be judged by the Inquisition instead, knowing they had more chances of staying alive or being discharged.
