Programming just evolved overtime.
We don’t have to use punch card to program (tell the machine what to do) anymore.
English will be the future of programming language.

Programming languages are deterministic. A piece of code works same every time.
On the other hand, speaking languages are complicated. They have sub-meaning, sarcasm, etc. History is full of wars because of misunderstanding.
Not sure loosing the deterministic approach is a positive thing.

You’re right! At runtime, we need the machine to be predictable and execute what we instructed.
But at creation time, it can be more of art than science. The fact that we all have different coding style doesn’t impact the creation of an application.

English can be the programming language in the future. But run time, we need something more predictable. It’s only 2024, just a few more years 😀

I agree that we will use English more and more to create code. But I believe codes will always be with us. 😅

For us who learned and coded before LLM, code will always be in our heart and mind 😀
