Stay in a damn hotel. In Asheville the service industry which is the only industry workers have to pay high rents or live out of town because so many houses sit empty except on the weekends.

To be fair, this was an individual move by Gebbia, not by Airbnb. Gebbia co-founded Airbnb and is still on its board, but not CEO. Current CEO Brian Chesky is a close friend of Barack Obama. (Not endorsing, just reporting.)
