Good idea. They will remove your name from your samples, but retain the data along with some tags, such as date of birth. An algorithm might still match your DNA data back to your name. Send a notice to [email protected] (or use their request form) that you want your data deleted and that they have to confirm it's done. Check your state's laws, as many have one you can cite in your request. If you just cancel your account, they keep the data.
