The teams haven’t played in more than a decade, and the fan bases are super hyped for this to be the game that gets somebody into the SEC championship. It would be surprising if there wasn’t a little bit of looking ahead by both teams.

I like to look at it more that in the 1st phase we dominated and snatched souls from teams. That resulted in a lesser season for those teams.
2nd phase we had a quick regroup on Off. and defense steadily improved and snatched a few more.
