It varies by library system, but many take very little federal $ for direct services. IMLS (fed) funds a lot of grants for museums and libraries. I am sure that is going to be a target.

My state conducts annual statistical surveys for all libraries in the state and makes this data available- I believe all state libraries do this. I am a librarian in King County, Washington and thankfully our system relies almost entirely on local funds.
The federal piece that many libraries rely on is e-rate, which gives a discounted rate for internet and networking services that so many people rely on the library to provide. Here’s the data for Washington State, to give you an idea of what to look for in your state.
