Today on technical dystopia: I’m trying to take a photo of red splotches on my skin for medical documentation purposes. In the camera live preview, they are quite clear. After taking the photo, the “magic” kindly adjusts the color balance to make my skin look nice and even and healthy

If you're using Android, the Graphene OS camera is available for stock OS, and doesn't have retouching by default. I don't know if that's useful.
